Famous For Being Famous: The Rise and Fall of The Talentless Celebrity

Tila Tequila. Brooke Hogan. Snooki. What a horrible way to start out an interesting topic. Before I go on, I want to make sure everyone knows I removed Obama from the interactive charts below. I was going to use him as a reference point, but I couldn't do it. Not because he is actually talented, but because according to Google Trends, more people are searching for Kim Kardashian in 2013. Unfortunately, that troubling fact would steal attention from the real point of this - absolutely nothing.

The interactive chart below highlights the rise and fall of some of America's most talked about celebrities. The title may call them talentless, but that's unfair. Some, like Kelly Osbourne, have developed talents that are currently put to good use. That said, most of the people on this list are famous for being famous. Lucky for you, I added a few talented train wrecks like Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, both of which have gone through turbulent times through the eyes of the public.

Paris Hilton Keeps Her Title As Queen of Talentless Celebrities
She may have stiff competition from Kim, but it seems she hasn't quite reached The Simple Life status. It is worth noting that Kim has yet to reach her peak and I may need to update this in another year.

Embrace The 15 Minutes of Fame
There's a lot you can take from this. Most importantly, each of these celebrities have had their 15 minutes of fame and then it's all down hill. When it comes time for your 15 minutes of fame be sure to capitalize on the opportunity - grab a machete - pose for Playboy - or get in some trouble with the law.
